Hi beautiful people!
Hope you are all keeping well?
I thought I would do my coffee and a catch up blog post as it has been a while since my last entry. This month is proving to be a little manic. My new job of writing articles and e-newsletters for a company has picked up and keeping me busy. I also have 3 appointments this month for Cardiology! FINALLY I am getting the tests I have needed to be done for a long time. This month’s tests are a 24 tape monitor, brain scan (for constant migraines) and heart scan. The next tests after this are 12 lead ECG and tilt table test. This will find out once and for all if I have Postural tachycardia syndrome.
Postural tachycardia syndrome or PoTs for short, is something that I was told by and EDS specialist I very likely have. I was given a few things to try to stave off the symptoms. If this didn’t work, then I would need to be tested and treatment given. What Dr Kaz Kaz said to try was, calf pumps before standing, drink extra water for hydration, extra salt in my diet. For a good year and a half this has been working really well. It’s the last 6 months, things have taken a turn. I finished working as a Carer this Feb as I wasn’t coping with my health at all. Dizzy spells, tachycardia, costochondritis, constant migraines and nausea were really stopping me from doing the best job I could. This in turn put my in a spiral of being a hermit and much less socially active. The time came to have things investigated. I was dreading having the first cardiology appointment and was very surprised that the locum doc that day was so amazing! He said to me ‘don’t worry, we will find out what is going on and help you’. NAAAAWWW!
So now my appointments have started to come through and the first one is next week. 2 the following week on consecutive days, then just waiting for the pothers to come through. Since moving onto the marina, I have become a lot more socially active as it is such a beautiful community. You only have to pop you head out of the boat and someone will come and talk to you. I have also been helping people set up Facebook pages and groups along with Instagram. I have also created a website for a couple who live on the marina and her husband does hand carving of lovespoons and all sorts of items. He uses hand tools only and the quality is fabulous! I have taught people how to use there laptops, gadgets and more. I was told today that I should consider teaching people how to use their devices and get paid for doing so as I keep giving up my time. I am actually considering this as I love teaching.
The last few days we have but the fire on in our boat as I hate being cold and my dog really appreciates it. Today we got caught out in a random heavy downpour! I let her off the lead and she ran all the way down the pontoon, to the boat and hopped into the boat! She then went straight into her bed which is placed in front of the fire and she hasn’t moved since! LMAO!
I will endeavour to keep you all up to date with the cardiology appointments. If you like my blogs, feel free to come and find me on Facebook, twitter etc. My social follows are:
