Last week was the hardest week I had in a long time. By Thursday I was in agony, fatigued and brain foggy whilst still trying to work through it all. Thursday evening it all came to a head and I broke down whilst talking to my husband. I/we came to the decision for me to stop working and hand in my notice due to medical grounds. I need to get my health back on track and I am finding it so difficult to work and pace at the same time. On a positive note, my husband has wanted me to stop working for quite some time. This is so I have more energy when he comes home from work to actually spend quality time with him, rather than being clapped out on the sofa with zero brain function for a normal conversation.
This time last year I gave up the job of my dreams due to health and management issues. My health then was in huge decline and I did seem a lot better until a few months ago when things started going downhill again. I think a lot of this maybe due to PoTs and vitamin issues, which I am now being investigated for. As I have ended my contract due to medical grounds, I should normally give a months notice however they are letting me finish early. The company have been amazing and are working to take work off me so reducing hours and also letting me finish almost a week early.
This is only temporary and I do hope to go back to working part time again in the future. I will have to keep monitoring my situation and see how I am improving.
I have 2 weeks to go! Hoping to just take some time out, work on myself for a while. Getting back into true pacing form, relaxation techniques, meditation and many medical appointments. My GP is concerned that I have no specific area monitoring me and my EDS. They are wanting a multidisciplinary team to keep an eye on me which is really great to hear!
I hope everyone is keeping as well as possible in the bendy community 🙂 You can catch me on twitter @Kimbaclay for my friends #SpoonieSpeak chat on Friday evenings at 7PM. Hope to see you there!
